Who won the 1984 French Open?

Ivan LendlIvan Lendl defeated John McEnroe in the final, 3–6, 2–6, 6–4, 7–5, 7–5 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 1984 French Open. It was his first major title. It was also McEnroe's first defeat of the season, and his only final appearance at the clay courts of the French Open.
